Kent, a retired audit and business advisory partner at Tanner LLC, has 38 years of audit, M&A, and consulting experience. He served numerous publicly traded and privately held companies in the software, technology, real estate, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, and transportation industries. He also provided litigation support services and expert witness testimony in accounting and financial reporting matters. Kent earned his Master of Professional Accountancy degree from the University of Utah, magna cum laude. Kent’s professional associations include the University of Utah’s School of Accountancy Advisory Board, Chairman of the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium Board, President of the Guadalupe Schools Board of Directors, Trustee of the Utah Technology Council, and Board Member of the Utah Parent Center. Kent volunteers at Catholic Community Services Refugee Services and My Home Town ESL Programs for Afghan refugees. Kent is fluent in Farsi.
