Jill Dempsey is the Executive Director at US Friends of AMAR, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting disadvantaged refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Middle East and locally. With nearly 20 years of executive and entrepreneurial experience, Jill brings strategic leadership and a deep commitment to creating sustainable solutions for underserved communities. She is passionate about expanding the organization’s impact through research, innovative medical and educational programs, and strategic partnerships.
Prior to leading US Friends of AMAR, Jill founded Liberty Equity, a firm specializing in strategic divestments, mergers and acquisitions, and operational restructuring. As CFO & COO for multinational corporations and a Partner in a private equity fund, she has managed an investment portfolio exceeding $500 million. Her diverse experience spans industries such as health and wellness, aquaculture, alternative finance, transportation, and consumer goods.
Jill also serves on the boards of Snow College’s GRIT Center for Rural Entrepreneurship, Watering Hope, and Uplift Educational Solutions, an educational technology platform supporting schools and students across Mexico. She holds a B.S. in Finance and Entrepreneurship from BYU Marriott School of Business and an M.A. in Nonprofit Management from Johns Hopkins University.
